We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Onsite Estimator to join our team.
The Onsite Estimator plays a crucial role in accurately assessing the scope and requirements of potential moving projects.
This role involves conducting on-site visits to clients' homes or businesses to evaluate their belongings, provide cost estimates, and ensure a smooth transition process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct on-site assessments of clients' properties to determine the volume of belongings, special handling requirements, and any potential challenges or obstacles.
* Engage with clients in a professional and courteous manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have regarding the moving process.
* Utilize company-provided tools and software to generate accurate cost estimates based on the size and complexity of each moving project.
* Collaborate with other team members, including sales representatives and operations managers, to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the estimation process.
* Provide clients with clear and transparent explanations of cost breakdowns, services offered, and any additional options or upgrades available.
* Maintain thorough and organized documentation of all estimates, including itemized inventories, pricing details, and any special instructions or requests from clients.
* Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to estimating and moving services, and incorporate these insights into day-to-day operations.
* Uphold company standards of professionalism, integrity, and customer service excellence at all times.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the moving or logistics industry.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
* Proficiency in using computer software and tools for estimating and inventory management.
* Physical ability to perform on-site assessments, including lifting and moving objects as needed.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics, business, or a related field is a plus.
