Description:
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the repair and maintenance of processing equipment and facilities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
Duties include planning and scheduling, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, coaching, and developing a high-performing maintenance team.

· Creates and promotes a positive and proactive safety culture.

Ensure maintenance technicians are trained in safety policies and procedures, aware of safety requirements and accountable for working safely.
Promotes and supports all food safety and quality policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Ensures compliance with all food safety regulations and internal requirements.
Actively participates in audits and promptly addresses corrective actions and issues.
Coordinates scheduling of maintenance technicians to ensure efficient coverage of maintenance support 24/7.
Assists technicians in troubleshooting equipment.
Supervises the progress of repairs of non-routine nature and inspects quality of completed repairs.
Implements and supervises the preventive maintenance (P.
M.
) program.
Schedules break-in of work for optimum utilization of manpower and equipment.
Assists with the coordination of all maintenance projects so completion complies with standards, goals, and budgets.
Prioritizes non-routine work orders based on need, risk cost, and efficiency.
Engages and oversees contractors and outside technical expertise as required.
Monitors plant operations notes areas requiring repairs and modifications.
Troubleshoots mechanical and electrical problems promptly and effectively.
Trains others to troubleshoot production equipment.
Establishes and maintains physical and electronic technical library.
Assists with internal and external food safety and other audits and inspections then maintaining appropriate records.
Assists the Sr.
Facilities Manager by receiving calls, generating reports, preparing, and processing regulatory records and various documents as assigned.
Maintains maintenance records.
Ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory (WISHA, OSHA, PSM, HAZMAT, USDA, FDA, and EPA) requirements.
Education & Experience:
· 5+ years of industrial maintenance and supervisory experience, food industry preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficient with MS Office.
· Working knowledge in the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
· Knowledge of electrical power distribution and control, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and facility design.
· Formal training in a mechanical-related trade or equivalent experience
· Implemented projects related to quality control standards, lean manufacturing, six sigma, or any form of QC related to TPS preferred.
· Experience with OSHA and Food Safety regulations preferred.
· Experienced in mechanical and electrical blueprints/drawings.
· Experience with SDS.
Knowledge of chemical safety.
Knowledge of proper use of sanitizing chemicals and techniques.
· Basic pneumatic, conveyor, and electrical experience and prior work with PLCs.
Salary Range: $80,000 to $105,000
