*Company: H10* *Location: Redmond, WA* *Type: Managed Service* *Tittle: HW Test Engineer (Battery)* We are looking for a motivated test design engineer.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing test plans, equipment, and automation for the acceptance and qualification test campaigns.
Your expertise in testing will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of internal systems.
*Responsibilities:* • Collaborate with multidisciplinary power team • Design and operate novel test equipment (fixtures, chambers, test, GSE, automation) to perform comprehensive battery testing and scale into full rate production • Author and execute comprehensive test plans to screen, validate, and qualify new Li-ion battery packs • Analyze test data to gather information about battery packs and share findings with subject matter experts across stakeholder teams • Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and observations • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during testing and handling of Li-ion batteries *Qualifications:* - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, manufacturing engineering or a related field - 3+ years of experience in the design and operation of test equipment for hardware in the field of aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, or equivalent- Familiarity with Li-ion battery cell and pack requirements (thermal, structural, mechanical, electrical, electrochemical).
- Familiarity with applicable Li-ion battery tests for the space application via test standards (SMC-S-016, JSC-20793, etc.
) - Proficient in design of experiments, root cause analysis, and statistical analysis using software tools such as JMP or Minitab - Proficient in data analysis using software tools such as MATLAB, Python, or equivalent - Proficiency in 3D CAD (NX, Solidworks, Creo or equivalent) and PLM software (Teamcenter, Windchill, or equivalent) - Strong analytical skills and written and verbal communication skills - Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $100,000.
