We are seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Foreman and Delivery Driver to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing yard operations, managing inventory, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Additionally, they will be responsible for driving delivery trucks to transport materials to various locations safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.
*Responsibilities:* *Warehouse and Yard operations:* Organize tools, materials, and other miscellaneous items stored in the yard per the defined yard layout for the location.
Maintain Equipment lists and logs.
Maintain long-standing equipment in the yard, including reporting damage and maintenance needs.
Clean and repair equipment as needed.
General cleanup of tool storage and warehouse and yard facilities.
*Delivery Driver:* Inspect delivery vehicles for safety and maintenance issues and report any problems to management.
Pull orders to match requested tools and supplies.
Load trucks with material and tools to be delivered and unload for field crews.
Ensure proper load securement on truck and/or trailer.
Ensure that deliveries are complete and accurate.
Plans route to and from jobsites and adjusts for traffic and/or construction.
Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Routinely be on construction jobsites, ensuring proper use of PPE and safe demonstration of loading and unloading techniques.
*Material Handling:* Assist in the unloading, loading, organization, and storage of raw materials.
Transport steel components to and from workstations using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Ensure proper labeling and identification of materials to streamline the fabrication process.
*Collaboration:* Work closely with the fabrication team to ensure smooth delivery scheduling.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any concerns or challenges.
*Safety Compliance:* Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to promote a secure working environment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for specific tasks.
*Qualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a construction or building materials environment.
Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record.
Strong mechanical skills; working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions.
Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work as a team member.
Ability to tow and generally operate a trailer.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to driving and handling materials.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Ability to pass a drug test.
CDL preferred, not required.

This position involves working in a manufacturing environment where exposure to noise, dust, and various outdoor weather conditions may occur.
The candidate should be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
Hours for this position can vary depending on delivery scheduling and current backlog, a successful candidate would be need to have a flexible schedule that may include early morning, late night, and weekend scheduling.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.
