gov/job/787835400 by 4/26* *About the Position: *As a construction control representative, at the full performance level you will be responsible for assigned function of surveillance, wide-scope monitoring, inspection of civil works, military construction, interagency projects including construction of flood control structure, environmental mitigation, testing structures, equipment installation, water treatment plants, mechanical, and electrical components.
*Duties* * Performs bid-ability, constructability, operability, environmental and sustainability reviews of plans and specifications.
* Participates in or conducts site showings and pre-construction conferences.
* Observes and investigates construction at all stages to identify conformance and/or concerns.
* Inspects contractor workmanship, equipment and materials in order to recognize and identify deviations from contract requirements.
* Reviews as-built drawings to ensure changes in plans and specifications have been accurately noted.
* Compiles data and prepares a variety of correspondence and reports.
* Ensures strict adherence to safety provisions of the contract and that the contractor’s safety program is effective.
* Detects and ensures the correction of unsafe conditions.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
