Maintenance Carpenter (Hyatt Regency Seattle)
Join us for an incredible opportunity to be a part of our Maintenance Team as our Carpenter, focusing on carpentry, paint, and finishes! This Engineer 2 will support “A Seattle Collection”, a multi-property cluster comprised of Grand Hyatt Seattle, Hyatt at Olive 8, and Hyatt Regency Seattle.
Our Carpenter will be responsible primarily for general carpentry-related projects and assignments including wood refinishing, rough and finish carpentry, and laminate-related tasks.
This position will perform repairs and preventative maintenance in public spaces, back-of-house areas, and guest rooms.
Candidates should have a minimum of (3) years of carpentry experience, and equivalent trade school training and hotel experience are preferred.
As part of the Maintenance/Facilities team, candidates should have basic troubleshooting skills involving electricity, plumbing, etc.
Good communication skills are necessary for this role.
The hourly rate for this position is $30.

Qualifications:
Open scheduling availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience or equivalent trade school training is required.
Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred.
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
Refined verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances.
Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds).
Must be a team player but able to work independently as well.
