Remedi8 is hiring Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform inspections, repairs and installations on a variety of firestop systems within existing hospitals nationwide.
This position is full-time, year-round work, must be willing to travel 100%.

*Experience:*
* 1+ year of experience working with basic tools
* Plus, but not required, previous construction, painting, finish carpentry, caulking, insulation, and drywall finish work
*Preferred Skills:*
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Understanding of computers and computer software (Microsoft Office)
* Experience in reading blue prints/schematics
* Knowledge of HVAC systems and their maintenance requirements
* Familiarity with electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repairs
* Understands the five levels of drywall
* Training in safety protocols (OSHA 10)
*Essential Functions/Responsibilities:*
* Install/Repair/Inspect fire door frames, doors, locksets, exit devices, closers, and related hardware to ensure proper operation and compliance with life safety codes and regulations
* Carpenters work in active hospitals and administer proper infection control measures per hospital requirements
* Installations done in a professional manner with high attention to detail ready for approval/inspection
* Read/understand construction drawings to locate and identify scope of work
* Use of smartphones for reporting daily progress to Project Manager and/or Facility Manager
* Assist with other scopes as needed
*Requirements:*
* Must be COVID vaccinated or willing to receive for position
* Submit a TB test, vaccination blood tests & vaccinations (Flu, MMR, Varicella, etc.
)
* Valid Drivers License and be eligible to rent a vehicle (21+ years old)
* Must be able to travel nationwide on a 10 day on, 4 day off rotation continuously
