*Job Details:*
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, occasional weekends or swing/night shift as needed depending on the project.
Salary range is based on experience.
Travel may be required.
*Position Summary:*
The Commercial Construction Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day on-site supervision of all aspects of your project in conjunction with your project manager, with project completion on time and within budget.
*Duties/Responsibilities:*
Maintain great relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner.
Develop and maintain site logistics plan in conjunction with the project manager.
Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.
Prepare and submit Superintendent’s daily, weekly reporting as required by ECG requirements.
Coordinate site testing and quality inspection efforts.
Project safety is a must! Strict adherence to ECG’s safety plan, making sure jobsite, subcontractors and all job visitors are following.
Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings as required.
*Required Skills/Abilities:*
In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material needs and generally accepted construction business practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read blueprints/drawings/designs/sketches to work to the desired specifications supplied by the owners, architects, and customers.
Exemplary management skills, including very strong leadership skills and is team oriented.
Formidable decision making & problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle a fast paced ever changing environment while meeting all existing deadlines and budget projections.
Ability to lead and motivate your team members to perform at an exceptional level.
Ability to work collaboratively with an inclusive-diverse workforce.
Travel is required as the project location dictates.
Must be highly proficient in the operation of both hand and power tools and in addition must have your own hand tools to work with.
Minimum 3 years of proven Construction Superintendent experience managing small/large commercial construction projects.
*Education and Experience:*
Commercial Construction/Tenant Improvement – minimum of 3 years.
OSHA 10/30 certification a plus, if not will complete within 90 days of hire.
First Aid/CPR certification a plus, if not will complete within 90 days of hire.
