The Sr.
Supply Planner is part of Darigold’s Supply Chain team in Seattle.
They play a central role in production and inventory management by developing, maintaining, and publishing production plans and inventory reporting for Darigold’s products.
Additionally, the Sr.
Supply Planner will gain a deep understanding of their business and make recommendations on production strategies to leadership.
Success in this role is determined by one’s ability to provide the right product, at the right place and time to meet our customers’ needs.
The Sr.
Supply Planner is an esteemed member of the planning team and responsible for driving overall planning policy.
They have experience in optimizing processes and building tools that aid in decision making.
Additionally, they can work closely with the team to train and encourage so that the team can thrive together.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) Provide direction to production plants on volumes and timing of production requirements, considering customer demand, plant capacity, and milk supply among other factors Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to ensure orders are shipped on-time and in full Maintain an agreed upon level of service while minimizing cost Lead weekly cross-functional S&OP meetings, develop and presents key metrics including fill rate, production vs plan, inventory health, and code risk Monitors and reports on capacity utilization, and escalates imbalances between supply and demand Provide inventory forecasts to leadership, based on the supply and demand plan, to support strategic inventory management decisions Develop tools to provide the organization with better visibility to product availability and costs Lead and participates in weekly or monthly production / inventory management calls with operations & sales execution Manage seasonal SKU activity and plan for inventory builds Actively partner with Finance, Sales, Logistics, and Operations by building strong collaborative relationships Train and teach other team members so that the group can grow Maintain product data for assigned category Learn the processes and duties of other planning areas to provide backup and coaching as needed Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Possess strong analytical capability Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated organization and follow up Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems Detailed oriented Experience developing data models that are easy to understand and simple to update Able to make recommendations from their analysis Lead and coach others Work independently while contributing to a team environment Prioritize competing assignments and meet established deadlines Proactively identify and act on problems before issues occur Education, Experience and Certifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Operations, or Supply Chain 4 - 6 years of experience in Supply Planning, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain 4 - 6 years of experience in a manufacturing field in an analytical or planning role Preferred Education, Experience and Certifications APICS CPIM certification or equivalent Experience using Microsoft PowerPivot and PowerBI Darigold is known for delivering fresh, high quality, value-added dairy products to people, & customer-driven solutions to organizations, all around the globe.
