The Quality Engineer will focus on quality systems and quality assurance.
In this role, the Quality Engineer will represent the company through interaction with customers and certifying bodies and suppliers.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
-Assure compliance of internal policies and procedures in accordance with certifying bodies and customer requirements.
Focus on Quality Assurance to include:
-Development and editing of documents based on continuous improvement.
-Statistical approach to problem solving and risk management.
-Leading internal audits, reporting findings and managing actions to completion.
-Template best practices and mentor Quality Assurance Team at other factories/locations.
-Maintain and provide support and training for the document management enterprise system.
-Develop training material and provide training on the Quality Management System.
-Support Supplier Quality.
-Lead Root Cause Analysis and CAPA Actions.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
-Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering or Quality.
-2+ years of relevant experience.
-Experience with ISO9001, IATF 16949, VDA, APQP and PPAP.
-Experience in automotive quality systems.
-Strong attention to detail and organization.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-Strong team player who effectively collaborates.
OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:
-Demonstrated knowledge of: Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SCP) and Supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
-Application and execution of formal problem-solving tools: 8D, 5 why, Fishbone.
-ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or ASQ Certified Internal Auditor (CQA).
-Experience working in an automotive supply chain or automotive supply production facility.
-Experience in an industry automotive supply chain.
-Experience with MasterControl, SAP and JMP or Minitab.

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000.
All positions come with a company bonus and stock options.
