The Senior Process Engineer (Tech Transfer) is responsible for supporting the design, commissioning, and operation for both new and existing Battery Active Material (BAM) Group14 production facilities.
This position will work in the process science and tech transfer region with both the R&D and the engineering teams tasked with the design and construction of the world’s largest production facility of next generation lithium silicon anode materials.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
-Carry out process development studies towards scale up and commercialization of materials.
-Plan & execute designed experiments (DOEs) at various process scales and perform process modeling to elucidate the underlying mechanism, kinetics, and transport of production processes.
-Assist in design, construction, and commissioning of process equipment.
-Establish engineering change management systems to evaluate and mitigate process and product risks.
-Investigate material characteristics and process/device performance relationships to recommend continual improvement and control strategies.
-Coordinate with R&D and Manufacturing teams to schedule and prioritize activities to meet goals.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
-Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
-Experience in capital project management.
-Experience with thermal processing equipment.
-Experience with bulk powders processing.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Demonstrated organizational skills.
OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:
-Industrial Chemical Plant experience.
-Experience in chemical and materials characterization, reactivity (preferred).
-Start-up experience.
-Six-sigma certification or documented training.
-Experience with silicon gasses.
-Experience with carbon process.
-Experience in PSM covered facilities.

The base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $125,000.
All positions come with a company bonus and stock options.
The actual base pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.
